Reverend Aaron Robinson

Aaron grew up in Metro Atlanta and is a product of Atlanta Public Schools. He attended Southern University of Baton Rouge Louisiana on a track scholarship, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Aaron career started in the for profit sector but quickly transition to the non-profit sector when join the team that planned the 1996 Athletics Track meet. This endeavor showed him the power of Human spirit and beauty of difference. After such and inspiring experience Aaron was leaded into the ministry and enrolled in Candler School of Theology of Emory University where he earned his Master of Divinity. Shortly after receiving his Master of Divinity, he was Ordained into the Ministry and has faithfully served in numerous positions at different churches. Aaron has worked with numerous non-profits big and small, developing youth and changing community. He has been heavily engaged in youth ministry, mission work domestically and internationally, and Christian education seeking to assist people in seeing beauty of creation.

Demonstrating a commitment to his community, Aaron has tirelessly worked and advocated for children, economic justice and social change throughout the Atlanta and Baton Rouge community. After Louisiana was struck by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, he moved to Baton Rouge to help launch a Non-profit that assisted in recovery and educational efforts. While in Baton Rouge, Aaron served in the community and in the Church. After completing his mission in Louisiana, he return to Atlanta and now serves as Senior Pastor of Mt Welcome Missionary Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia. Aaron also actively volunteers with non-profits and speaks on issues of social and environmental justice, inclusion, and equity.

Cynthia Briscoe, M.S.W.

Cynthia Fenison Briscoe is CEO of The Camry Home for Boys, Inc., which is a non profit servicing adolescent boys ages 13-18.

  • Camry Homes for Boys services the need of the youth and their families, including those from different backgrounds or experience, including race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity or youth who are non-conforming. Cynthia has been in the Social Services field for 25 years. She received her BSW from Oakwood University and MSW from University of Southern California and is an Associate Clinical Social Worker. Cynthia is experienced in evidence-based treatment.

    Her professional life includes a commitment to serving the needs of the adolescents,  family members, staff members and community. Her background enables her to be an effective CEO/administrator and is comfortable overseeing a diverse group of people.

Eugene Hamilton

Eugene is a leading motivational speaker and consultant in the educational arena. He is a certified DISC facilitator and CEO of The Eugene Hamilton Group, an educational consulting firm that partners with school districts to improve culture, performance and outcomes for students, teachers and administrators.

  • With nearly 16 years of organizational leadership experience, Eugene knows what truly drives understanding, connection and relationships that have lasting impact. He believes that your ability to empathize with others is the foundation of healthy, high-performing environments.

    In addition to his extensive leadership experience, Eugene is in high demand to inspire, change and ignite passion within the lives of students and teachers through life-changing keynotes and engaging presentations. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Southwestern Adventist University and a masters degree from Oakwood University.

 

Dr. Eric Walsh

Dr. Eric Walsh is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Medicine, Loma Linda University School of Public Health where he received his Masters and Doctorate in Public Health. Dr. Walsh has served (2) United States Presidents as an advisor on HIV/AIDS. Dr. Walsh is a practicing physician and serves as Medical Director for Urgent Care services.

Reverend Derrick L Green

Reverend Derrick L. Green, a native of New Jersey earned his bachelor's degree from Rutgers University-Newark and obtained his Master of Public Management from the University of Maryland, School of Public Policy.

  • Reverend Green understood very early his mission in life was to address socio economic injustice both domestic and throughout the African Diaspora. In January 2018, Reverend Green was appointed to the office of Senior Advisor for Diversity, Faith, Urban and Regional Growth for New Jersey Governor Phil D Murphy. In this role, Reverend Green works to implement public policy that will help all people. He interfaces with the faith-based community and key stakeholders to help build strong communities. He led a successful GOTV Operation, delivering ninety-four per cent of the African American vote for Governor Phil Murphy. He is an ordained Elder in the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

    Reverend Green has dedicated much of his life to empowering urban communities locally and internationally. His unprecedented and unconventional work with legislators led to several state positions. He has advised Heads of state, Senators, Governors, Mayors, County Executives and countless other elected officials and community leaders. In 2000, Elder Green served as Projects Director to United States Senator Jon S Corzine. In 2006, Reverend Green coordinated a campaign in Maryland, Prince Georges County, one of the largest and wealthiest counties in the nation, the people of Prince Georges County overwhelmingly elected him to a four-year term on the Democratic Central Committee. He was responsible for Democrats being elected statewide. In 2008, Reverend Green led a small group of political operatives in Maryland as an early supporter, of then, Senator Barack H. Obama, who became the democratic candidate for President of the United States of America.

Breanna Lawrence

Breanna Lawrence is an experienced sales and event meeting manager. She graduated from Valdosta State University with a degree in Speech Communication and plans to begin law school next year.  Driven by social injustices in her community she is an active member of Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professional group.

 

Wade Forde

Wade Forde is a dynamic leader and speaker who has achieved significant success throughout his career in business.

  • Forde believes like Lance Watson that, "If you're not passionate about what you do, find something else to do!". Forde has run several small to mid-sized organizations and has organized community outreach events in Perris, California that includes a massive community baby shower for the underserved. Forde has also lead in organizing food drives for the community that has given out more than 1 million pounds of food.

    Forde attended and graduated from Oakwood University where he learned further about service and building relationships. It is Forde's desire to provide a safe and nurturing environment for students who are looking to pursue higher education.

Pastor Ivor Myers

Pastor Ivor Myers was once part of a four-man hip-hop group in the early ’90s.

  • Pastor Ivor Myers was once part of a four-man hip-hop group in the early ‘90s. After leaving the group he attended Oakwood University to pursue a degree in theology.  Ivor is passionate about helping others study the Bible so it becomes alive and exciting to them.  His innovative approach to Bible study, preaching, and ministry has led to, the launching of a fully virtual online church, Living Manna. He is the author of several books, and is featured in a docu-series that airs on Amazon Prime called the “Days of Noah”.

Atonte Myers

Atonte Myers is a marriage and family therapist and mental health director at Oakwood University.

  • Atonte Myers is a marriage and family therapist and mental health director at Oakwood University. She received her Masters degree from Capella University, and her undergraduate degree in communications from Oakwood University. She is passionate about helping individuals , family and couples get the help they need. She enjoys helping couples reconnect after resentment and bitterness have dimmed the fire of love. She works with families to create new healthy patterns, and new ways to communicate. Atonte enjoys Inspiring individuals to reframe their negative beliefs about themselves and helps them to see themselves through a new positive lens. She loves to see the light go on with her clients, and assist them to create new patterns that brings them into a more peaceful space. Atonte also cohost Mental Health Mondays live on YouTube. This program brings mental health education to thousands around the world.
